Cefixime 50mg/5mL + Lactic Acid Bacillus is the standard paediatric gut-protected cefixime suspension for children approximately 6 months to 3 years (6–15 kg). Cefixime inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis via PBP binding. Lactic Acid Bacillus restores gut microbiome integrity disrupted by cephalosporin therapy, reducing antibiotic-associated diarrhoea. Acute otitis media, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, sinusitis, UTI, enteric fever, and respiratory tract infections in children 6 months to 3 years. Preferred over plain cefixime dry syrup for children with a history of antibiotic-associated diarrhoea or sensitive gut.
