Cefixime 100mg/5ml + Lactic Acid Bacillus With water
Cefixime 100mg/5mL + Lactic Acid Bacillus delivers double the cefixime concentration of FAMEFIX™ 50 LB, designed for older and heavier paediatric patients (15–30 kg, approximately 3–10 years) where the lower-concentration suspension would require impractically large volumes. Same dual mechanism: cefixime inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis via PBP binding; LB protects the gut microbiome.
All indications of the FAMEFIX™ range — otitis media, pharyngitis, sinusitis, UTI, enteric fever, respiratory infections — in older children 3 to 10 years. Also suitable for adolescent girls with uncomplicated UTIs or gonorrhoea where a paediatric suspension form is preferred over tablets.

As children grow past 15kg, the 50mg/5mL suspension becomes impractical — a 20kg child needs 6.4mL twice daily, and a 25kg child needs 8mL twice daily, volumes that challenge compliance. FAMEFIX™ 100 LB halves these volumes, making twice-daily dosing manageable for school-age children while maintaining full therapeutic efficacy and gut protection.
