Mechanism of Action
Telmisartan blocks angiotensin II for sustained blood pressure reduction. Chlorthalidone is a long-acting thiazide-like diuretic that reduces blood volume. Together they provide complementary blood pressure control with a longer diuretic duration than standard thiazides.
Indications
Hypertension, especially in patients with oedema or volume-dependent hypertension.
