Telmisartan 40mg + Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5mg
Telmisartan (ARB) blocks angiotensin II-mediated vasoconstriction and retains potassium. Hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ) is a thiazide diuretic that reduces fluid volume and blood pressure. Telmisartan's potassium-retaining effect counterbalances HCTZ's potassium-wasting tendency — making this combination metabolically safer than HCTZ alone.
Hypertension requiring combined ARB and diuretic therapy, and fluid-retaining hypertension.
Take as prescribed by your doctor or healthcare professional. Do not self-medicate.
Pairs with LEADTEL AM to give cardiologists two Telmisartan combination options — CCB or HCTZ — within the same brand for different patient profiles.
