Mechanism of Action
Ticagrelor is a direct-acting, reversible P2Y12 receptor antagonist that prevents ADP-induced platelet aggregation. Unlike Clopidogrel, it does not require metabolic activation and provides faster, more predictable antiplatelet effect.
