Mechanism of Action

Ferrous Ascorbate (elemental iron 30mg per 5mL) + Folic Acid 550mcg per 5mL syrup — the adult and older-child liquid iron formulation for patients unable to take tablets. Ferrous ascorbate provides 2–3× higher bioavailability than ferrous sulphate with better tolerability. Indications

Iron deficiency anaemia in children above 5 years (where drops dosing provides insufficient volume calibration), adults who cannot swallow iron tablets (dysphagia, elderly), pregnant women with severe first-trimester nausea preferring liquid iron, and post-partum iron restoration. The 200mL economy size supports 3-month IDA treatment courses.
