Doxophylline SR relaxes airway smooth muscle for sustained bronchodilation. Montelukast blocks leukotriene receptors — inflammatory chemicals released during asthma and allergic reactions that cause airway narrowing and mucus production. The combination targets both the immediate bronchospasm (Doxophylline) and the underlying inflammatory pathway (Montelukast) — providing broader asthma control than either drug alone.

Bronchial asthma — particularly allergic asthma where leukotriene-mediated inflammation is a key driver, COPD with inflammatory component, and exercise-induced bronchospasm.
