Mechanism of Action

Bilastine is a third-generation, non-sedating antihistamine that selectively blocks H1 histamine receptors. It does not cross the blood-brain barrier, meaning it causes virtually no sedation — patients can drive and work normally. It has a rapid onset of action (within 1 hour) and a long duration (24 hours from a single daily dose). Bilastine does not interact with the cytochrome P450 system, avoiding drug interactions common with older antihistamines.

Indications

Allergic rhinitis (seasonal and perennial), urticaria (skin hives and itching), and allergic conjunctivitis. The non-sedating profile makes it particularly suitable for working adults and patients who drive.

Dosage & Administration

Take as prescribed by your doctor or healthcare professional. Do not self-medicate.

Why JOLLYBIL 20?

Bilastine is rapidly becoming the preferred antihistamine in ENT and allergy practice — the zero-sedation profile and once-daily dosing make it the most practical choice for working-age patients with chronic allergies.
