Mechanism of Action
Ceftriaxone is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that kills bacteria by inhibiting cell wall synthesis. Its long half-life allows once-daily dosing, and it covers a broad range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria including resistant strains.
