Mechanism of Action
Meropenem is a carbapenem — the broadest-spectrum beta-lactam antibiotic class. It kills bacteria by disrupting cell wall synthesis and is resistant to most beta-lactamase enzymes, making it effective against highly resistant organisms.
Indications
