Mechanism of Action
Amoxycillin is a broad-spectrum penicillin that kills bacteria by disrupting cell wall synthesis. Clavulanic Acid inhibits beta-lactamase enzymes that would otherwise destroy Amoxycillin — extending coverage to resistant bacteria.
Indications
Moderate to severe respiratory, urinary, and skin infections by beta-lactamase-producing organisms, surgical prophylaxis.
