Mechanism of Action
Flunarizine prevents cerebral blood vessel spasms that trigger migraines. Propranolol is a beta-blocker that reduces heart rate and blood pressure, and independently reduces the frequency of migraine attacks. Together they provide stronger migraine prevention than either agent alone.
